Last Night

The last and only light that I’ll ever face,
I open my eyes thinking I’m awake,
And don’t realize it’s my soul that takes the stage,


I’m lost within the world of hope,
While others still cope below,
I see them cry, I see them mope,
I tried to talk but I never spoke,

Life dreams never became,
World Earth still did stay,
With one less person to make a change,
I still dream of so but it’s not the same,


Moments I’d wish I’d fixed,
Choices I’d wish I’d picked,
Memories I’d wish I’d switched,
Hearts I’d wish I’d stitched,


But now I face the truth,
I, who this faith, had to choose,
Lay asleep for eternal youth
